Description

This sensational handcrafted keyring features as its centre piece a very chic, iconic native American image. An original piece of classic vintage Americana, the Buffalo nickel sometimes known as an Indian Head nickel. The vintage coin is a genuine copper-nickel five-cent piece struck by the United States Mint between 1913 and 1938. It features an American Indian warrior head – reminiscent of Geronimo himself – and the word ‘Liberty’ on the face and a bison inverted on the reverse with the words, ‘United States of America’, ‘E Pluribus Unum’ (Latin translated to ‘Out of many, one’) and ‘Five Cents’ plus a minting mark in the form of a letter. The elegant Five Cent piece was designed by sculptor James Earle Fraser. The Sterling silver mounted coin is attached to an elegant Sterling silver caribiner keyring complete with threaded screw fastener. Handmade in England. Fully hallmarked this fine silver keyring comes with its own beautiful Geronimo Jones jewellery bag and in a presentation box. Please note that as each coin is unique in patina, wear and character the images are representative of the actual item. Dates of coins vary.
